Legacy Building Co. LLC was established in 2002. Founded by two families, Legacy Building Co is a true family business. Co-owners Mark and Cecil attribute their success to their friendship and ability to compliment each others skill set. The family business is composed of both Mark and Cecil's wives, Susanne and Renee, who serve as critical components of the Legacy Building team. Both families are currently raising the next generation of LEGACY builders who enjoy shadowing mom and dad in hopes of one day joining the family business!
Legacy was inspired by Cecil and Mark's determination to succeed. Legacy planted their roots in Roxboro, North Carolina, both Mark and Cecil's home town. They desire to serve their community and surrounding areas all while providing a top of the line Professional Service.

Cecil Barker
Cecil Barker is co-owner of Legacy Building Company. He attended Wake Tech Community College before transferring to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Cecil has 27 years of experience working hands-on with leading professional contracting teams. Cecil specializes in projects of all sizes and prides himself on always going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. Cecil has been married to Renee for 22 years. They have three children – Allie is a student at Appalachian State University, Preston is a senior at Person High School, and Sam is a middle schooler. Cecil is a member of Concord United Methodist Church, where he currently serves as a Trustee. In addition, he currently serves on the Advisory Board for Union Bank and Trust and is the past president of the Roxboro Person County Home Builders Association.
